SIRES

Square B Superintendent 8438

Superintendent is a bull that comes from our good friends at Larsen Angus, in Holden Utah.  They used him extensively in their program and were kind enough to allow us to use semen straws in our program.  We were drawn to Superintendent because of his maternal pedigree and his cow making ability.  We have retained a couple of his daughters and they are quickly rising to the top of our herd.  His females are the type of cow you want to build a herd around.  He has proven to produce daughters that are deep bodied, breed up early, wean an above average calf, and breed back year after year.  With a PAP score of 37, Superintendent is a bull whose progeny can handle harsh environments, including high elevations.

McConnell Altitude 3114

Altitude exhibits tremendous phenotype combining eye-appeal and power with calving-ease.  His daughters in production have great udders, excellent teat placement, and they breed back very well.  His calves come easy, unassisted, with quick get up and go.  There is exceptional growth in his calves with muscle, width, and depth displaying tremendous expansion of rib.  All of that, coupled with a PAP score of 38, makes Altitude a great choice for both heifers and cows with progeny that excel even at high elevations.

Nelson High Country 2069

(Picture Unavailable)

High Country was the Lot #8, 2nd highest selling bull of the 2023 Nelson Angus Ranch sale in Salmon Idaho.  Sired by Sitz Mountaineer, he is a sure fire choice for calving ease with exceptional growth.  His Pathfinder Dam, Nelson Blackbird 0058, a Tehama Tahoe daughter, brings loads of maternal value to his pedigree. She exhibits all the traits we look for in a cow including, exceptional teat and udder and excellent feet and legs.  High Country is a big scrotal bull that passes those genetics on to his sons and his daughters are extremely feminine with great eye appeal.  High Country ranks in the top 3% of the entire Angus breed for PAP and boasts an actual PAP score of 36.  We chose to use High Country in our program because of his overall balanced EPDs and his excellent Dam.  We plan to retain many of his heifers in our own herd.

McConnell Crusher 1427

Crusher is a balanced trait bull we purchased as the Lot 7 bull in the 2023 McConnell Angus sale in Dix, Nebraska.  He stands on excellent feet and legs and has a big scrotal.  With a birth weight of 70 lbs, we have used him on both cows and heifers.  His calves come easy with excellent vigor.  They are quick to get up and nurse and they put on the pounds fast!  Crusher is extremely docile and he passes that trait on to his progeny.  He is a moderate framed bull with a lot of muscle and red meat.  We have kept several heifers in our herd and those first daughters will start calving in 2026.  He has an actual PAP score of 40.
